Joplin, MO : A motorcycle accident on Monday, May 29, 2017
A resident of Blue Eye was injured in a motorcycle accident at 3 a.m. Monday on state Highway 76, 5 miles east of Cassville in Barry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Jerry L. Hanner, 65, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Cassville with moderate injuries.
The patrol said Hanner's eastbound motorcycle ran off the road and overturned.
• A Purdy man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 12:25 a.m. Monday on state Highway 60 just west of Monett in Barry County, the state patrol reported.
The driver of the vehicle, Thaddaeus Harris, 20, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin with minor injuries.
The patrol said the driver apparently fell asleep and that his eastbound vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree.
• A resident of Omaha, Nebraska, was injured when he was hit by a vehicle just before 6 p.m. Sunday on Elk Springs Road, 5 miles west of Pineville in McDonald County, the state patrol reported.
Randy G. Nelson, 47, was taken by private vehicle to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin with moderate injuries.
The patrol said Nelson was standing on the low-water bridge along Elk Springs Road when he was hit in the leg by a vehicle that was being towed by Raymond J. Lovatt Jr., 35, of Goodman.

Motorcyclist, pedestrian among those injured in weekend crashes
