Memphis, TN : Officer injured following crash on Sunday morning, March 20, 2016

A MPD cruiser was badly damaged after a crash Sunday morning.

The crash happened at the intersection of Tchulahoma and Raines roads.

Investigators said the officer lost control of the cruiser and hit a tree in an attempt to avoid being hit by another vehicle.

The officer was taken to St. Francis hospital in non-critical condition.
