LOUISVILLE, KY : 1 dead, 1 injured after stabbing near UofL campus on Sunday, 2nd October 2016
One person is dead and another is injured after a stabbing incident at a neighborhood near the University of Louisville campus.
Louisville Metro Police Department spokesman Dwight Mitchell tells local media that officers responded to a report of a stabbing at about 7 p.m. Sunday in an alley behind a home in the St. Joseph neighborhood. Police arrived to find two injured men.
Mitchell says it appeared that the two men got into an altercation with each other using knives.
Both were taken to University Hospital where one of the men died. Deputy Coroner Eddie Robinson identified him as 72-year-old James Lee Horton, who suffered multiple sharp force injuries of the head, torso and extremities.
No charges have been filed. The investigation is ongoing.
