A person was killed and three firefighters were injured when an SUV slammed into a fire engine in Stockton.
KCRA reports Tuesday that the Stockton firefighters had minor injuries, according to Stockton police.
The SUV was heading west onto a freeway onramp and the fire truck was traveling north on a side street when the crash occurred Tuesday morning.
The gender, name and age of the SUV passenger who was killed were not released. The driver was taken to a hospital but the nature of the driver's injuries, if any, were not released.
The fire truck was responding to a medical call at an elementary school at the time of the wreck. It is unclear if the fire engine had its lights or sirens activated.
