Bonita Springs, FL : One injured in crash after attempting to flee from deputies on Tennessee Street on Friday evening, February 20, 2015

One person was injured in a crash after he attempted to flee from deputies, according to Bonita Springs Fire officials.

The crash happened on Pennsylvania Avenue and Tennessee Street Friday evening.

Officials say a pickup truck was driving erratically down Pennsylvania Avenue. Lee County deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the driver sped off in an attempt to run away.

Shortly after, the truck crashed and the driver was ejected from the vehicle. The driver was flown to the hospital with traumatic injuries.
