Nashville, TN : Driver dead after car strikes tree in early Thursday morning around 5:10 a.m. July 17th 2014.

A driver was killed after striking a tree early Thursday morning in west Nashville.It happened around 5:10 a.m. in the 5900 block of Hickory Valley Road off Hillwood Boulevard.The driver was pronounced dead on the scene.Hickory Valley Road is closed between Hillwood Boulevard and Wilsonia Avenue when investigators remain on the scene.
