Sacremento , CA : One man Facing multiple charges after Crashing into Three cars along Highway I 80 on Thursday , january 15th 2015

A 26-year-old Davis man was arrested on multiple charges, including assaulting a firefighter along Interstate 80, authorities said.

The Woodland California Highway Patrol said Louis Zurcher was driving under the influence, and was involved in three crashes along the highway early Thursday morning.

He then ran from the third crash, officers said.

He was spotted by West Sacramento fire crews on the freeway -- and as they tried to help him, Zurcher jumped onto a fire engine and began assaulting a firefighter, the CHP said.

Police were called and Zurcher was arrested.
