Davis County, UT :Man ‘extremely critical’ after Davis County rollover on Saturday, June 27th 2015
A man is in "extremely critical condition" after a car he was riding in rolled over Saturday in Davis County.About 6:30 p.m., a red Ford Cobra Mustang was taking the on-ramp from Main Street in Fruit Heights to southbound U.S. Highway 89 when the driver lost control of the car, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.The Mustang narrowly missed a concrete barrier. The driver over-corrected and the Mustang slid and rolled off the left shoulder, according to the UHP.A backseat passenger, 75-year-old Vaughn Stoker, was thrown from the Mustang. He was flown in a medical helicopter to McKay-Dee Hospital in extremely critical condition."It does not appear [Stoker] was wearing a seatbelt," UHP reported in a news release.The driver and a second passenger were wearing seatbelts and were not thrown from the Mustang. They were taken by ambulance to local hospitals with moderate injuries, according to UHP.Troopers are investigating excessive speeds and potentially reckless driving as contributing to the crash.
