Charlotte, NC : CMPD Motorcycle Officer Injured In Crash on Independence Blvd Tuesday afternoon, November 11, 2014

A CMPD motorcycle officer crashed and was taken to the hospital after hitting debris on Independence Boulevard Tuesday afternoon. Officer J.H. Frison was driving a marked CMPD Harley Davidson and hit a window air conditioner that was in the roadway. Police say Frison was merging onto Independence Boulevard from Albemarle Road around 3 p.m. when the crash happened. Frison was thrown from the motorcycle but only suffered minor injures according to Medic, who took him to CMC. The accident caused traffic delays in the area and closed two lanes for an hour.
