Belleview,FL : Belleview man dies in West Texas crash on May,Monday 28th 2018

A Belleview man was one of three people killed when a van rolled over on Interstate 10 in West Texas on Monday.

Andrew Akaji, 29, of Belleview, was killed, along with fellow passengers Cliff Tucker, 29, of El Paso, and Amanda Akaji, 25, also of El Paso. Tucker was a former University of Maryland basketball player.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says the van crashed Monday on I-10 near Balmorhea (BAL’-muh-ray), 180 miles from El Paso. Investigators believe the tread on a rear tire separated and the driver lost control.

The driver and three other passengers were hurt.
