Cameron, TX :Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries after rear tire blows on Sunday, July 12th 2015
A blown tire is suspected as the cause of a motorcycle accident Sunday morning on Interstate 25 that left a Texas man in serious condition.According to a police report, Monte McRae, 70, of Cameron, Texas, was driving a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle in the northbound lanes of I-25 near Exit 94 at about 11 a.m. when a blown rear tire caused him to lose control of the bike.The motorcycle went down on the right side, throwing McRae from it. McRae slid approximately 100 feet before coming to a stop. The motorcycle slid 200 feet before coming to a stop on its side.McRae was taken to Parkview Medical Center where he was still being treated for serious injuries on Monday, according to a hospital spokeswoman.Louisa Herrera reported to police that early Saturday someone entered her unlocked vehicle parked in her driveway in the 2100 block of West 15th Street and took more than $1,900 in items.She reported a laptop, purse, watch and wedding ring set were taken.In a separate burglary nearby, $3,700 in electronic equipment were reportedly taken overnight Saturday from a home in the 2400 block of West Street.
