Wadena, MN : Two-vehicle accident injures one on Highway 10 on Wednesday, 23rd May 2018

On May 22, at about 10 p.m., a Volkswagon Passat, driven by Misty Umland, 43, Wadena, was traveling eastbound on Highway 10 when it was slowing down to turn into Fair Oaks Lodge and rear ended by a Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Clayton Rice, 38, Verndale, also traveling eastbound.

Rice was transported to Tri-County Hospital and later air-lifted to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He was not wearing his seatbelt. A five-year-old boy in Rice's vehicle was uninjured. Umland was treated at Tri-County Healthcare for non-life threatening injuries and later released. Umland and the boy were wearing their seatbelts.
