EDGEWOOD, IL : Arcola man injured in alleged DUI crash on I-57 near Edgewood on Saturday, 7th September 2019

An Arcola man was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol when he was injured in a single vehicle crash Saturday morning on Interstate 57.Illinois State Police District 12 in Effingham reported that the crash occurred at 7:35 a.m. as Kyle L. Kepley, 22, Arcola was driving his pickup north on I-57 approximately 2 miles north of Edgewood. The pickup left the roadway to the right and struck the guardrail on the right shoulder. This vehicle came to rest in the right ditch, facing southeast.


An ambulance took Kepley to St Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham for treatment of injuries. He was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, and improper lane usage.
