GARVIN COUNTY, OK : 2 children killed in multi-vehicle crash ear the intersection of County Roads 1570 and 3300, about 5 miles east of Pauls Valley on Saturday, 20th July 2019

Two children from Wynnewood died Saturday in a multi-vehicle crash in Garvin County, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol collision report.

Shortly before 11:40 a.m. Saturday, a 2019 Ford Edge and a 2013 Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck crashed near the intersection of County Roads 1570 and 3300, about 5 miles east of Pauls Valley, the report states. Investigators said they learned the driver of the Ford pulled up from a stop sign and into the Chevrolet's path. which Highway Patrol officials said the Chevrolet did not have a stop sign.A 13-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 9-year-old boy died after being taken to OU Medical Center. Highway Patrol officials have not released the children's names because of their ages.

A 37-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman in the Ford were taken to OU Medical Center in fair condition, according to the report. A 22-year-old man driving the Chevrolet pickup truck went to a Purcell hospital in a private vehicle and has since been released.
