LOUISVILLE, KY : Pedestrian killed in downtown Louisville crash on Thursday, 20th October 2022

One person is dead after a fatal crash in downtown Louisville on Thursday night.

Louisville Metro Police Department said that just before 11 p.m. they responded to reports of an accident involving a pedestrian and vehicle. The crash happened on 3rd Street and Muhammad Ali Boulevard.

LMPD said the man struck by the vehicle was taken to UofL Hospital and was pronounced dead shortly after he arrived.

The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. Police are still working to determine what led to the driver hitting the man.

No other injuries were reported, according to LMPD.
