Boulder, CO : Paraglider hospitalized following crash west of Boulder on April, Monday 10th 2017

A man was taken to the hospital after he crashed while paragliding west of Wonderland Lake earlier this afternoon.

The crash was first reported at around 1:20 p.m. in the 100 block of Meadowlook Way, northwest of the city. The 47-year-old man was taken to a local hospital with a suspected head injury, according to a news release.

Boulder County sheriff's spokeswoman Carrie Haverfield said she did not know the extent of his injuries.

Boulder Mountain Fire, AMR and Rocky Mountain Rescue responded to the scene in addition to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
