Oklahoma, OK : A Stuart woman was killed in a crash in Pittsburg County on Sunday, June 18, 2017

A Stuart woman was killed Sunday morning in a crash in Pittsburg County, southwest of Arpelar.

The accident occurred at approximately 11:53 a.m. on U.S. Highway 270, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

An OHP report states a 2014 Chevy pickup was eastbound on the highway and went left of center and struck a westbound 2008 Chevy pickup. Two passengers were riding in the westbound 2008 Chevy pickup.

A passenger in the westbound vehicle, Christina Brown, 48, of Stuart, was pronounced dead at the scene by the McAlester Fire Department.

The driver of the westbound vehicle, Shannon Brown, 47, from Stuart, and a second passenger, a 16-year-old female from Stuart, were both transported to McAlester Regional Health Center and listed in stable condition with multiple injuries.

The driver of the eastbound 2014 Chevy pickup was Aaron Pickett, 30, from Norman. He was transported to McAlester Regional Health Center and listed in stable condition with multiple injuries.

A cause of the accident was not immediately released. It remains under investigation.
