Knox County , TN :One person Killed and two others injured after Crash on Saturday afternoon ,May 2nd 2015

A crash killed one person and seriously hurt two others in East Knox County on Saturday afternoon.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office said Robert Zerba, 31, was driving eastbound on Ruggles Ferry Pike in a Honda Accord when a pickup truck traveling the opposite direction turned in front of him. Investigators said it appears Zerba was speeding.

A child and 39-year-old Eddie Jean Lee were riding in Zerba's car. Crews took all three to UT Medical Center with serious injuries.

Lee was later pronounced dead at the hospital. KCSO said it's not clear whether Lee was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The driver of the other vehicle, 58-year-old David Nicely, was not hurt.

No charges have been issued.
