Mobile woman killed in late-night crash involving 2 cars
A Mobile woman was killed after she apparently lost control of her car and collided with an SUV on Leroy Stevens Road Wednesday night, according to the Alabama Department of Public Safety.
Latonia G. Pursely, 33, was driving a 1999 Mercury Sable south on Leroy Stevens Road near Country Drive when the accident happened according to Sgt. Joe Piggott, commander of the Highway Patrol's Mobile Division.
Around 11:45 p.m., Pursely hit John Sanchez Arroyo and Yodianne Sanchez, both 25, while they were traveling north on Leroy Stevens Road. Sanchez Arroyo was driving the 2011 Hyundai Tucson during the accident.
Pursley was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, but Piggot said she was killed in the crash.
