Sibley, IA : George, Iowa, man dies in rollover crash in rural Osceola County on Saturday, July 30, 2016

A 32-year-old George man died Saturday as a result of a one-vehicle crash in rural Osceola County.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s received a report of the crash at approximately 7:30 a.m. Saturday. A vehicle was reported in the ditch along Nest Avenue south of 250th Street. The vehicle in the ditch was a red 2000 Pontiac Grand Am registered to Heather Wilkerson of George.

The driver of the vehicle, James Otto Bruns, was pronounced dead at the scene. Bruns appeared to have been southbound on Nest Avenue when he lost control. The vehicle rolled in the east ditch and landed on its wheels.

The vehicle was a total loss. Assisting at the scene was the Lyon County Sheriff's Office, Ashton Ambulance, Sibley Ambulance and the Ashton Fire Department.
