Montgomery, AL : Fiery crash in Walker County leaves man dead Sunday morning on Sunday, March 19th 2017

A crash in Walker County early Sunday morning left one man dead.

According to Senior Trooper Johnathan Appling, Bobby John Hamby was driving a GMC 1500 truck when the vehicle left the roadway, hit a tree, and caught fire.

Hamby, of Jasper, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was 42 years old.

The crash happened at approximately 3:30 a.m. on AL 69, six miles north of Jasper at mile marker 214.

Alabama State Troopers are investigating the incident.
