Immokalee, FL : Immokalee teen was seriously injured after the SUV crash at Miraham Drive on Monday, April 25th, 2016

An Immokalee teen was seriously injured after the SUV he was in crashed into a mobile home and became wedged underneath.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, Benjamin Martinez, 14, was riding in a 2004 Chevy Tahoe driven by Anthony Herrera, 17, also of Immokalee. The two were traveling east on Miraham Drive and failed to slow while turning left onto Miraham

Terrace.

An FHP report states the vehicle went off the road, striking a mobile home in the 900 block of Miraham Terrace and becoming wedged underneath. Martinez was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital for serious injuries while Herrera was transported to

Naples Community Hospital North for minor injuries.

Both occupants were wearing their seatbelts, and the crash is not alcohol-related.
