Marion , OH: One man dead and Two others injured in multiple-car crash on Tuesday afternoon , July 7th 2015

A Marion man has died and two others were injured after a three-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon.

Ohio Highway Patrol troopers said 53-year-old Darryl L. Reed was pronounced dead at Grant Medical Center after he was a passenger in a head-on collision on Davids Street near in Marion.

Troopers said a Ford E250 van, driven by 46-year-old Jason E. Engle of Waynesfield, was heading southbound on Davids Street. The van drifted left of center just after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. The van struck a Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 34-year-old Jonathan Oliver. The vehicles slid into a parked car before coming to rest.

Oliver, Reed and 36-year-old Alphonzo Weaver, all from Marion, were taken to Marion General Hospital and transported to Grant Medical Center. Medical conditions for Oliver and Weaver are unknown, according to troopers.

The crash remains under investigation.
