WALTON COUNTY, FL : Texas man hospitalized after single-car crash on Thursday, September 14, 2017

One person was sent to the hospital with minor injuries following a traffic crash on Interstate 10 Thursday night.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 44-year-old John Edwards of Harker Heights, Texas was traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 at mile marker 80 at around 8:30 Thursday night when he collided with the guardrail on the south shoulder of the road.

After the collision, the vehicle continued traveling east until the guardrail ended, causing the front of Edwards’ vehicle to collide with a small ditch where the vehicle remained at final rest.

Edwards was transported to Healthmark Regional Medical Center in DeFuniak SPrings and treated for minor injuries.
