A Goshen man was killed and the two juveniles in his car injured Friday night in a two-car collision on Route 109 near the Thomaston line, state police in Troop L in Litchfield said Saturday.
Franklin D. Marsh, 33, suffered fatal injuries when the 1981 Chevrolet Malibu he was driving "made contact on a sharp turn in the roadway" with a 2005 Audi driven by Christopher P. Raymond, 19, of Waterbury, state police said.
"The cause of this motor vehicle crash requires further investigatyion, state police said Saturday. Trooper Dickie K. Murchinson is the primary officer in this case,
Two boys, ages 13 and 17, in the car with Marsh suffered non-life-threatening injuries.and were taken by ambulance to Waterbury Hospital for treatment, police said. Their condition was not available Saturday.
Marsh was taken by ambulance to Waterbury Hospital but died. Raymond was not injured, according to police. He was evaluated at the scene by Thomaston EMS and declined medical treatment, police said.
The accident occurred at 8:16 p.m. one-tenth of a mile east of the intersection of Pitch Road and Route 109.
