Greeley, CO : Teenage girls taken to hospital after ATV crash into ditch on April, Saturday 1st 2017
Three teenage girls were taken to Medical Center of the Rockies Saturday evening after they crashed into a ditch on an all-terrain vehicle they were riding about 5 miles west of Eaton, according to a news release from the Weld County Sheriff's office.
Sheriff's deputies responded approximately 4:55 p.m. to the 12000 block of Weld County Road 76 near Weld 25 to a report of a traffic crash. Three teenage girls driving a side-by-side ATV had wrecked in a ditch that had water in it, the release stated.
Two occupants of the vehicle were able to get out of the vehicle and the ditch, but the third was unable to get free. Firefighters and paramedics extricated the girl and began CPR. She was taken to MCR and her current condition is unknown, the release stated.
The other two girls also were taken to MCR, and their injuries are not known at this time, the release stated.
The direct cause of the crash was unknown Saturday evening, and the Weld Count Sheriff's Office is conducting a full investigation of the incident, the release stated.
