A 17-year-old girl was transported to United Hospital Center following a minor automobile-pedestrian accident on Florence Hollow, just off Chub Run, about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, police said.
“The girl was walking to the bus stop in all dark clothing and the driver apparently, didn’t see her,” Harrison Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Scott Lattea said. “The side of the car collided with the girl.”
She was taken by ambulance to the hospital. It is unknown what type of injuries she sustained, Lattea said.
“We ask that drivers be vigilant of students traveling on the roads to get to school early in the mornings,” he said.
