INDEPENDENCE, MO : Pedestrian killed after being struck by car in Independence on Friday, 5th January 2024

Independence Police are investigating after a pedestrian was hit and killed in the early morning hours Friday.

It happened near Missouri Highway 78 (or 23rd Street) and Norton Avenue.

Police said at about 12:20 a.m. a person crossing the road was hit by an eastbound Kia Rio. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
