DOYLESTOWN, PA : Bucks County man tells motorist he killed his mom on Thursday, December 8th 2016
Police have charged a Pennsylvania man in connection with the fatal stabbing of his mother, who was found dead inside the Bucks County home they shared.
Zachary Cope was arraigned Thursday on charges of criminal homicide and possessing instruments of crime. The 30-year-old was ordered held without bail following the discovery of his mother, 52-year-old Rebecca Cope, at her Lower Makefield Township home earlier in the day.
Chief Kenneth Coluzzi says Rebecca Cope suffered from blunt trauma to the head along with several stab and cut wounds.
Police say a motorist reported that a disheveled and partially-dressed Zachary Cope flagged him down to tell him that he killed his mother.
A motive for the slaying has not been immediately released.
It’s unclear if Cope has an attorney who could comment.
