Ludlow, MA: 2 tractor trailers crash caused major delays on the westbound on Tuesday, August 4th 2015

An accident between two tractor trailers caused major delays on the westbound on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Ludlow Tuesday morning.Trooper Darren Specht told 22News the collision happened just before Exit 7 on the westbound side just before 6:00 A.M. Neither of the drivers were injured in the crash.The accident forced both lanes to shut down. Troopers eventually opened up a single lane of traffic, before the crash was cleared hours later. At one point during the commute, backups had extended as far east as Exit 8 in Palmer.With all lanes open, traffic is now flowing freely in the area.
