Kenai Peninsula, AlK : A two-car accident on the Kenai Spur Highway on Sunday, 20th May 2018

A two-car accident on the Kenai Spur Highway on Sunday morning sent three people to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Kenai Police Department and Kenai Fire Department responded to an accident on the highway about 10:48 a.m. Sunday near the Snowshoe Gun Club. Later investigation showed that a car had rear-ended an SUV, said Kenai Police Department Sergeant Alex Prinz.

“The people in the SUV were transported to the hospital, the people in the car were okay,” he said.

The Kenai Fire Department took three people to Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna. The cars were too damaged to be driven, so the Kenai Police Department coordinated traffic until the vehicles were hauled away about an hour later, Prinz said.
