Rowan County, NC : One person died in two car crash in Rowan County on Saturday October 17 2015

Troopers said one person died in a wreck in Rowan County Saturday night.
Scott Hammond, 39, from Durham died at the scene on impact, troopers said.
Troopers said it was a two car accident.
Hammond was the only person in his vehicle according to officials on the scene.
He was driving a Ford Expedition sport utility vehicle. Troopers said Hammond ran off the roadway, came back on to the interstate, side-swiped another vehicle and they both spun out of control off the interstate.
Hammond collided with a tree on the passenger side and the other vehicle collided on the drivers side, troopers said.
The other driver was transported to CMC-North East with minor injuries and has been released from the hospital.
A second person was transported from the scene with non-life-threatening injuries.
