Fort Wayne, IN : Motorcyclist is dead following a crash in Fort Wayne on Saturday, June 10, 2017
In a half day's time, a second motorcyclist is dead following a crash in Fort Wayne, police said.
The incident was reported a little after 4 a.m. today at West Coliseum and Sherman boulevards. Officers arrived and found a male victim on the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Crash investigators believe the biker and another motorcyclist were traveling west on Coliseum when the victim tried to beat a traffic signal. The biker rear-ended a car that had begun to enter the intersection.
The car's driver and passenger were not hurt.
On Friday, a 25-year-old Fort Wayne man died when his motorcycle collided with a Chevrolet Impala at Ohio and Eliza streets at 4:55 p.m.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. The driver of the car was not hurt.
Investigations of both crashes are ongoing.
