Marshall, MO : Marshall man injured in New Years crash on Sunday, January 1st 2017

A Marshall man started the new year off on the wrong foot, reportedly becoming involved in a rollover vehicle crash approximately three minutes into 2017, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Roberto C. Hernandez-Linares, 19, was traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 65 at 12:03 a.m. on Jan. 1, when the MSHP report states his vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway into the median and overturned. The crash occurred approximately 1/5 of a mile south of 195th Road in Saline County.

The report classifies the injuries sustained by Hernandez-Linares as moderate, and that he received emergency transport from the scene from Saline County EMS.
