Montgomery, AL : Fatal crash closes part of Alabama Avenue in Southeast Washington on Tuesday, 27th September 2016

A man died after he crashed the car he was driving into a barrier wall and a light pole in Southeast Washington, police said.

His identity was not immediately released, pending the notification of relatives. Police said no other cars were involved in the crash, which happened around 2 a.m. on Alabama Avenue near Burns Street SE. Part of Alabama Avenue was closed as investigators were on the scene.A serious crash has closed part of Alabama Avenue near Burns Street in Southeast Washington.
