Henderson, KY : Sebree resident dead after crash in McLean County early Wednesday morning, March 29, 2017

Kentucky State Police said a Sebree resident is dead after an early morning collision Wednesday on Kentucky 56 in McLean County.

Maria Pascual, 29, was the front seat passenger in a vehicle driven by Allen Rodriguez, 29, also of Sebree. She was pronounced dead at the scene by McLean County Coroner Will Muster. She was wearing a seatbelt.

Troopers responded to the crash around 5:40 a.m. just three miles west of Beech Grove.

Authorities said Rodriguez was travelling east on Kentucky 56 in a 2006 Honda Pilot SUV. For an unknown reason, Rodriguez overcorrected his vehicle causing it to run off the right shoulder, officials said. The vehicle then struck a tree and crashed into a ditch, coming to rest, the state police said.

Rodrigues, and a passenger in the backseat, Walter Francisco Pascual, 32, Sebree, were flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. Pascual was listed in serious condition Wednesday afternoon. Information on Rodrigues' condition was unavailable. It appears both men were wearing their seat belts.

While Walter Pascual and Maria Pascual share the same last name, the state police said it hasn't been confirmed if the two were related.

Another rear passenger, Manual Gasper, 29, Sebree, was taken by McLean County Ambulance to Methodist Hospital in Henderson. He was treated and released.

Jose Riso Berto, 29 of Sebree, was also a rear passenger. He was treated on-scene and released. Authorities said he was wearing his seatbelt.

All vehicle occupants are employed by a local farmer and were traveling to work.

The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Tim Payne. KSP was assisted by McLean County Sheriff’s Department, Beech Grove Vol Fire Dept., Central Fire and Rescue, Air Evac, McLean County EMS, McLean County Coroner’s Office and Tri-State Towing and Recovery.
