AKRON, OH : Police looking for vehicle involved in fatal motorcycle crash in Akron on Sunday, 4th April 2021

Akron police are searching for a maroon-colored vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash with a motorcycle in Akron on Easter Sunday.

At approximately 11:10 p.m. Sunday, a motorcycle with two passengers was traveling westbound on East Tallmadge Avenue at a high rate of speed when it struck a maroon-colored vehicle believed to have pulled out of the parking lot of Save A Lot, located in the 500 block of East Tallmadge Avenue.

Police said the motorcycle struck the right-side bumper of the vehicle, causing the 26-year-old female passenger to be ejected off the bike.

She was seriously injured and transported to Summa Akron City Hospital, police said.
