Statesville, NC : Three people were injured in a head-on accident involving two pickup trucks on Monday afternoon October 27th 2014

Three people were taken to local hospitals after an accident involving two pickup trucks in Statesville. The wreck happened on Monday around 1 p.m. on Highway 70 near Yellowstone Lane. Investigators said that one truck, that had reportedly been seen driving erratically before the incident, crossed the center line and hit another truck head-on. Troopers confirmed that three people were air-lifted from the scene. They say one of those three was the driver at fault, who was seriously injured. Their name has not been released. The condition and names of the other two victims, the driver and passenger from the second truck, have not been released. Troopers say they are investigating the incident.
