Ocala, FL : Two people were killed in a single-car crash in Levy County on Wednesday, 28th March 2018

Two people were killed Wednesday night in a single-car crash in Levy County, according to a media release from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Their names were not immediately released, pending notification of family members.

The driver and passenger of a 2015 Chevy Cruze were headed south on Northwest 102nd Place Wednesday night when, for unclear reasons, the car went off the road while traveling through a curve, hit a tree and caught fire, the release says.

The driver and passenger were pronounced dead on the scene by Levy County Fire Rescue personnel at about 6:30 p.m.
