Cedar City, UT : Man dead after a crash in Iron County on Saturday morning, June 18, 2016

A Cedar City man is dead after a crash in Iron County early Saturday morning.

The 42-year-old man was traveling south on Main Street when a car pulled in front of his SUV at 900 North, according to a news release from Cedar City police. The SUV driver reacted by veering into the northbound lane and colliding head on with a pickup truck at about 6 a.m.

Despite efforts to revive the man, he died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, the release states. Police have not yet released the man's name.

The driver of the truck, an adult female, was transported to Cedar City Hospital with serious injuries.
