CHICAGO, IL : 2 critically injured in multi-vehicle I-57 crash on Monday, 23rd February 2022

Two people were critically injured in an alcohol-related crash on I-57 on the South Side Wednesday morning, authorities said.

A two-vehicle crash occurred in the soutbound lanes of I-57 near 100th Street at about 2:20 a.m., Illinois State Police said. One of the people involved in that crash got out of their vehicle and was then struck by another vehiclle, police said.

The Chicago Fire Department said a 39-year-old woman was transported to a hospital in grave condition and a 48-year-old man was transported in critical condition.
