A semitrailer truck hauling corn mash swerved to miss another semi and struck a Chevrolet Impala about 12:25 p.m. on Thursday.
The semi driver, northbound on Prairie Trace Road, did not see a westbound semi on U.S. Highway 30 and pulled out in front of it.
“To avoid the semi that pulled out in front of him, the driver of the other semi turned north onto Prairie Trace Road,” said State Trooper J.J. Connelly.
The westbound semi struck an Impala that was stopped at the stop sign, facing south.
Connelly said there were two occupants in the car, but the driver was the only person injured. She was taken to Great Plains Health in North Platte with what Connelly said were minor injuries.
