Clarksburg man dead in Montgomery County motorcycle accident in Millersville Maryland

Police in Montgomery County are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident.Police say they were called to the 9500 block of Hawkins Creamery Road around 11:30 p.m. Friday. When officers arrived, they found 53-year-old Kenneth Alan Burch of Clarksburg dead at the scene. Police say a preliminary investigation indicates Burch failed to negotiate a curve and struck a utility pole.The collision is under investigation.Associated PressPolice in Anne Arundel charge man with fuel theftAnne Arundel County police say they've arrested a man and charged him with stealing hundreds of gallons of diesel fuel from area businesses.Police say 49-year-old Robert D. Murphy of Pasadena has been linked to the theft of 660 gallons of diesel in Millersville and Severna Park. They are also investigating his possible connection to similar thefts. Police say an anonymous tip directed police to Murphy and that they observed him taking fuel on two occasions in August.Police said Friday at a news conference that there have been 10,000 gallons of diesel fuel stolen in the county in 2013.Murphy was charged Aug. 31 with theft, destruction of property, trespassing and multiple counts of burglary. He also faces gun charges.Murphy does not have a listed telephone number.
