Manatee County, FL : Woman critically hurt in a hit-and-run crash in Manatee County on Monday, December 29, 2014

A Plant City woman was critically injured Monday evening in a hit-and-run crash in Manatee County.

According to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol:

Kimara Shynett, 21, was traveling south on State Road 39 in a 2002 Nissan when she stopped at the stop sign at the intersection with State Road 62. When Shynett attempted to make a left turn onto S.R. 62, the left front of her car collided with a 1994 Ford 150 truck traveling eastbound on S.R. 62.

The driver of the truck fled the scene on foot along with three passengers. Shynett was taken to Blake Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition.

Manatee County sheriff's deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the occupants of the truck.
