Lasvegas, NV : Pedestrian, 71, killed while crossing Boulder Highway on Tuesday, December 20th 2016

A 71-year-old Las Vegas man was hit and killed by a vehicle Tuesday night while walking across Boulder Highway, according to Metro Police.

The man, whose name was not released, was hit about 7:30 p.m. by a southbound Lexus NX near East Desert Inn Road, police said. Police said there were conflicting witness statements about whether the man was walking against a red light.

The man was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver and three juvenile passengers from 7 to 10 years old were not injured, police said.
