South Lake Tahoe, NV : U.S. 50 eastbound now re-opened following crash on Thusday, July 10, 2014

Nevada Highway Patrol tells a crash occurred in the tunnel at Cave Rock this morning, closing the tunnel -- and U.S. 50 eastbound -- for an undetermined period of time.

Trooper Dave Gibson says a dump truck crashed into a bicyclist in the tunnel, which is now closed. The crash happened a little after 10:00 a.m. and NHP says they aren’t sure when it will be open again.

Care Flight transported the bicyclist to a local hospital with serious injuries.
