Estero,FL : One man walking across U.S. 41 hit, killed by car on Tuesday June 7,2016.

An Estero man died after he was hit by a car Tuesday night while crossing U.S. 41 near a busy intersection in Estero.
William Colter, 55, walked into the path of a northbound Kia Optima just south of the intersection of U.S. 41 and Commons Way at 9:30 p.m., the Florida Highway Patrol reports. Commons Way is just south of Corkscrew Road.
Colter died at the scene and all lanes of U.S. 41 were temporarily closed in that area for several hours.
The driver of the car, 31-year-old Yuniel Garcia of Fort Myers, was not injured in the crash.
