BLUFORD, IL : Authorities Looking For Vehicle After Deadly Crash in Southern Illinois on Sunday, 14th April 2024

Authorities are looking for information on a vehicle involved in a crash which left one person dead in southern Illinois.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said they were called in for a crash report on Sunday night around 8:45 p.m.

First responders headed to the scene at the intersection of N. Markham Lane and E. Short Street in Bluford.

A 2018 Chevy SUV was going north on N. Markham Lane and collided with a Kawasaki ATV which was turning west on E. Short Street, the sheriff’s office noted.

The driver of the ATV was reportedly ejected from the vehicle. A short time later, another vehicle struck the driver of the ATV in the roadway, according to a report from the sheriff’s office.
