Phoenix, AZ : Woman dies from injuries suffered in Phoenix collision on Saturday, April 2, 2016
A woman who sustained serious injuries after a three-vehicle collision in Phoenix on Saturday has died, police said.
Kimberly Livingston, 37, was the passenger in a black Nissan Versa speeding eastbound on Hatcher Road that ran a red light and rear-ended a white Chevy Camaro, which lost control and struck a white pickup truck, according to Officer James Holmes, a Phoenix police spokesman.
Initial reports Saturday pronounced Livingston dead on the scene but paramedics with Phoenix Fire Department were able to get a pulse before rushing her to the hospital, Holmes said. The female driver of the Camaro sustained a "very serious neck injury" and is now reported to be paralyzed, Holmes said.
The driver and passenger of the pickup truck were taken to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries and are listed in stable condition, according to Holmes.
The driver of the Nissan is listed in stable condition and police discovered "indications of impairment," Holmes said. Police are waiting on the results of a toxicology report before pressing charges.
