Raeford, NC : Wagram father and son injured in fatal wreck in Hoke County on Saturday, April 30, 2016
Wagram father and son were injured in a weekend collision that also took the life of a Hoke County man.
The state Highway Patrol said the accident happened on U.S. 401 between Raeford and Wagram at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
A 44-year-old man and his 10-year-old son, both of Wagram, were traveling in the Camry.
The 70-year old Hoke County man was pronounced dead after he was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, authorities said.
The father was airlifted to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill and was in critical condition. The son had minor injuries including a broken arm, according to authorities.
The identities of the three involved in the accident were not released and the crash is still under investigation.
Authorities believe the 70-year-old’s health and age may have been a contributing factor in the accident. No further details are available at this time.
